Help us add your dashcam
everydashcam reads many dashcams, and the list keeps growing — we add new ones from real recordings people send us. If yours isn't supported yet, send us what's on your memory card, exactly as the dashcam saved it. The more you send, the faster we can add it.
The easy way
- Open everydashcam and load your memory card — plug it into your computer, then pick the card's folder.
- Open Report a problem (in the menu; it also pops up on its own if we couldn't read the card) and choose Download the report. That saves a small text report with the names, sizes and folder layout of the files on your card.
- Email the report to feedback@everydashcam.app together with everything from the list below.
If everydashcam can't open your card
Some phones can't pick a card folder (iPhone, for one), or the card won't open in the app. Then make the list yourself — it's one command — and send us the file the same way.
Windows
- Open the card, click the address bar, type
cmdand press Enter. - Paste
tree /F /A > "%USERPROFILE%\Downloads\dashcam.txt"and press Enter. - The file
dashcam.txtappears in your Downloads folder.
macOS
- Open Terminal, type
cd(with a space), drag the card's icon into the window, press Enter. - Paste
find . | sort > ~/Downloads/dashcam.txtand press Enter. - The file appears in your Downloads folder.
Linux
- Open a terminal in the card's folder.
- Run
find . | sort > ~/dashcam.txt. - The file appears in your home folder.
Send as much as you can
Every detail helps — the more you send, the fewer questions we'll have to ask later.
- Brand and model of your dashcam (as printed on the box or shown in its menu).
- How many cameras it has — front only, front + rear, interior, and so on.
- Firmware version, if you can find it (usually in the dashcam's settings).
- A few original recordings from one drive — from every camera, together with all the files that sit next to them on the card (files with the same name and a different extension often hold the GPS).
- What should be there and what everydashcam shows instead — no route, no rear camera, wrong time, and so on.
- If it doesn't fit in an email, send a link — Google Drive, Dropbox or anything else.
Send the files exactly as they are
We recognize a dashcam by its files exactly as it wrote them: names, folders and what sits next to what. Copy them straight from the card to your computer:
- Don't rename files or folders.
- Don't move files between folders or gather them into one. If you send just a few recordings, put them in the same folders they were in on the card.
- Don't save recordings through the dashcam's phone app or a video editor: they rewrite the file and often lose the GPS.
- A zip archive is fine — it doesn't change anything.
